Swoon-Worthy Spring (Coffee Sips and Lovely Links)

Happy Friday, Peculiars!

I'm not gonna lie- this week has been incredibly long and boring. I've been sick pretty much all week, and so has my nanny family. Sooooo, I've been home for another full week. And despite some Virtual Assistant work, my own blog work, lots of Netflix, and trying to rest, I have still been bored.

I haven't felt well enough or creative enough to do much with new content for the blog, but I have spent a lot of time on Pinterest scheduling pins for both myself and for my VA client. And while on Pinterest, I've really been swooning over all-things-Spring. And that's exactly what I am going to be sharing with you today.

Swoon-Worthy links that are all about Spring, color, and fun!

Watercolor

I have expressed my love of watercolor before, but I am really loving the fact that now that Spring is just around the corner, watercolor is reappearing in beautiful florals and pastels and lining the shelves of Michael's and Hobby Lobby. My favorites at the moment:  watercolor florals, pastel watercolors, abstract watercolor, & watercolor cactus.

All Things Coastal

Last year I talked a lot about how much I was missing the beach and dying to get back. The problem is that my longing for the sea has started even earlier this year. It's going to be months before I am able to go dip my toes into the water and splash in the waves, so for now I'll have to settle for looking at pictures of the beach and cute little coastal cottages....or that might make it worse. Ooops.

Magnolia Journal

Yesterday, I was so excited to get my Spring issue of The Magnolia Journal in the mail. I ordered a year's subscription back in October and I am so glad I did. The magazine is so nice, and the price I got on early subscription was well worth it!

Like much of America, I love Chip and JoJo. They seem to be so good at everything they try and I love the model that they set for those who keep up with them. And just as what they do on television is high-quality, so is their magazine. Obviously I'm a fan, and getting the magazine in the middle of being sick was a nice bonus too!

All-Things-Spring for your weekend perusing!

I hope you enjoyed these swoon-worthy, Spring links, and I hope you all have an amazing weekend.

  1. If you're looking for some books that take place in coastal towns, I tend to reach for Mary Alice Monroe's books during spring. When I'm really missing the ocean, her books make me feel like I'm there. :)

We're having very spring-like weather, so I'm so ready for spring, but I live in MN so... there's a very high chance we'll get a cold spurt or snow again soon. We've been known to get snow in May, so I'm not getting too excited about the warm weather!

    1. Thank you so much for the book recommendation! I miss home a lot so that might be a good book choice for me!

I totally get what you mean! Even here in NC I am totally expecting there to be a cold snap in March. I hope not, but I think there probably will be!

  2. I have to admit that I have no idea who Chip and Jo Jo are. But I'll go check out their magazine anyway. I am longing for the beach so much too! We live about 9 hours from the Gulf of Mexico and 12 from the Atlantic so I don't think we'll be seeing the ocean this year :( I miss it so much!

    1. Girl!!!!!! You've never seen Fixer-Upper!?!?!?!?! You gotta fix that!

Did you grow up near the ocean? I cannot imagine living that far away from the coast. The furthest I've ever lived was 6 hours, and that was way too far!

  3. We've been enjoying some really nice weather here in Utah where I live and it's been so nice to be able to throw the windows open and let some fresh air in. Not to mention, I get to send my kids outside to run off some of their energy. ;)

    1. I have heard that Utah is just so gorgeous! My friend lived there for a while, and I know people who have visited, but I've never been.

I really am loving this weather too!
