Happy Monday, friends! May your coffee be strong, your creamer be decadent, and your Monday be easy! I'm pretty sure that should be some sort of blessing from now on ;)
This past week, I was struggling some with a bad attitude. I found myself sulking for a while, but just like I confessed on Instagram, I knew that I was really the only one who could control my attitude.
I can't control what happens to me each day, or what happens to my loved ones, or my plans. But I can control my attitude. I can choose to be thankful instead of giving into the negativity that will inevitably rise up from time to time.
And you can too. You can beat it. You can choose joy, and thankfulness, and peace. If we trust God things get much simpler. We don't have to have everything figured out- we can simply rest in the fact that God is our Father and He is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28).
So spend today and everyday determined to shun the grumpies and embrace a joyful, thankful heart and life!
A Short Absence
If you notice my presence being sparse in the blog world this week, it's because my husband and I are going to visit his family. We were planning to go to the beach with them, but his grandmother fell and broke her hip a few days ago, so we are going to go to their house instead and visit his grandmother in the hospital.I may not be gone all week- not sure- but just wanted to give you wonderful people a head's up! :)
Perfect timing for this post. I'm in the process of shaking off the Monday... Tuesday... Wednesday Blues," too. I love the coffee mug in your post image, too. It set just the right tone!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was an encouragement! :)
DeleteAnd thank you! One of my best friends gave that too me!
Oh no! Scary when family is facing a health crisis! Hope her recovery is as quick and as painless as possible!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rachel! So far, so good!

ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Susannah! I appreciate it!
DeleteI hope your husband's grandmother is OK. So glad you get to go visit and be with family. Thanks for the reminder about the attitude. Mine has not been good lately, and I need to make a change too.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand that! It's so hard to correct attitudes sometimes!
DeleteAnd thank you! She is getting better :)
Hope your husband's grandmother recovers well and quickly.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Lisa! She has improved a lot in the last two days!
DeleteEnjoy your time and thanks for the attitude reminder! I'm right there. Trying to refocus and reset. I'm on a week away from home right now sitting near Green Bay in Wisconsin while my husband and son golf.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a nice trip. We all need some time to unwind!
